Welcome to Vegas Roy "Tut" Rostron

Karl's Dad, TUT (Roy), came to visit us this weekend. Karl gave him tickets to watch the Utes play UNLV (Basketball) on Saturday. Tonight Karl took Roy to the Strip.....he got a kick out of all the people. We are so excited to have him here and can't wait for him to experience the game. Here are some of the pics that Karl took of their adventure on the strip.

Tut liked the planes.

I know I should be happy that I have a 3 day Weekend, but.....

I know it has been a while since I last posted but, I haven't been doing much with my broken foot. I know I should be happy that I have a 3 day Weekend, but I can't do anything and I am a little depressed. I haven't had too many days in my life where depression has come in and taken up house; but, right now it has moved in, been laying on the couch and eating us out of house and home! I am sure this in normal when something happens and you are limited as to what you can do.....I know I don't have a tremendously active life; but, it is definitely more than what I am doing right now.

I am just sad......sad that I can't be with Whitney and Chrissy during this rough patch, sad that I can't be more active or active at all, sad that I have to wait two more weeks before I can move into the house, sad I missed out on seeing one of my closest and dearest friends while she was in Vegas and over all just plain sad!! I know, I know....how selfish can I be?? I have a wonderful a husband, children, job and home. I have been blessed in many ways! But, today......I'm just sad!

Fancy Pants.....

Today I went to see the Orthopedic Doctor.....urg....it really hurt! I broke off a piece of one of my bones; but, that wasn't the worst of it, he then had to check to see how the tendons and ligaments were doing....boy was that painful, they said they were going to have to knock me out; but, I was being tough and said, "NO"....I should have said yes because the pain knocked me to the floor, it was horrible. We were in the office for hours....checking, X-Rays, and finally a cast....not even kidding it took me HOURS of time there....at one point the doctor came in a said, "Are you still here? Why?"....we about died.....they finally got us out of there an hour after that statement! Needless to say Karl got me home, doped me up and let me rest....10:00 tonight I was finally able to stand on my crutches so that we could take a picture to show all of you my shorts they gave me to wear! They are the funniest thing EVER, they are actually called "Paper Shorts". Karl wanted a pair so I told him he could have mine when we got home. I just can't stop laughing about Karl's expression when he saw them....he is so cute. Anyway, here is a picture of me in them....honestly i look like crap; but, I wanted you to see them....ya gotta laugh!
Love to all...Jan

I swear they are HUGH!!
The crutches are in the way!

Another New Years in the Hospital.....

I am not sure why I can't just have a "Normal" New Year's; but, once again, it wasn't in the cards.....I spent my New Year's Eve and day in the Hospital.....and as embarrassing as it is to admit, it was because of the Wii....yes, I said the Wii.....Karl and I were competing in a bowling match and I slipped and broke my foot (11 o'clock on New Year's Eve).....urg, it has hurt more than anything else I have experienced in my life and boy is that saying a lot!! Karl was able to take a picture of me to share with all, I must warn you that I look so awful....but, oh well.....Did I mention that it really hurts!! I didn't even get to call anyone on New Year's (or after) to wish them a Happy New Year.....sorry everyone!

I swear I am not being lazy!
