Halloween Part II

So UNLV students put on a party for the kids and we all went.......it was so much fun! They had tons of games, food and CANDY!!

The party is called "Boo Bash"

Students in the Dorms decorated the halls, they did a really good job...they did a Bat Man Hall, Sweeny Todd Hall, It's a small world Hall, Candyland Hall and the "Saw" Hall....(notice the Welcome to Nevada Sign on the Left....it was just for us! LOL

Happy Halloween!! Part One....Our first adventure!

So our Ward had a "Trunk or Treat" tonight so we all decided to go and have some fun.....
There was food, games and a lot of treats.


We decorated the truck (so I guess we were a "Truck or Treat").

Dinner favorites: Hot Dogs, Chips, Drinks and Krispy Kreme Donuts!

In case I forgot to tell you, I left Karl for this hot old guy!

CIMI Trip continues......

Kaylee is back from her trip to Catalina (CIMI) and brought pictures with her. She had a great time and talked for hours about the trip (a moment by moment recap). She is having a great time at her new school and the opportunities she is being given are fantastic. This a was a great hands on experience...plus, we didn't have to worry about fighting teachers about missing school....her teachers went on the trip with her!

Kaylee is off to Catalina.....

Kaylee is off to the Catalina Island Marine Institute (CIMI)......She is so excited and although we miss her we know she will have the time of her life........

We got up at 1:40 this morning to get her to the School for the big trip to Catalina!

She is so excited to get going......

She was trying to get on the bus without saying goodbye....

But, she turned around just in time to smile and say goodbye.....

Karl thinks it is so cool that Kaylee is so happy about this opportunity!!

UNLV Football

UNLV Football has become apart of Karl and I's dating ritual. We have really enjoyed the games, even the one against USU when he and I were among the few wearing USU apparel. But, the UNLV fans were really good to us! We all laughed and joked together....here are some pictures of the game against Iowa.

Whose Line Is It Anyway!

So last Saturday, October 11, we all went to the show, "Whose Line Is It Anyway"....although Drew Carey and Wayne Brady weren't there we did get to see Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Chip Esten and Jeff David. They were so funny, we all had a great time!! The show was performed at an outside (covered) pavilion in Henderson. They were so funny Kaylee was rolling on the floor laughing....literally!! We weren't allowed to take pictures; but, it was great anyway and the night was beautiful.

The city really works hard to pull the community together. In December we are going to attend "Winterfest"....this is going to be fun. They will have ice skating, pony rides, face painting, and the CANstruction display. Along with music and a parade....of course what would Christmas time be without a visit from Santa...The kids get to go to Santa’s cottage for a chat. All of this is free to the community and we are excited to spend our first December sharing in the festivities.
